WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a tradeshow specialist you will help drive engagement and conversions to generate measurable demand, brand awareness, and return on tradeshow investments.

 

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position will work a hybrid schedule in our Leawood, KS  or Burlington, MA office preferred. Will consider remote.

 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Partner with external agency on planning, managing, and coordinating company participation at industry tradeshows, conferences, and hosted events. This includes booth design and setup, managing inventories, coordinating logistics and shipping, organizing staff responsibilities and schedules, and pre- and post-event attendee communications. Assist with ensuring smooth, on-budget, and successful events.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders on the development of marketing and booth activation plans to drive attendance and engagement. Generate creative ideas and strategies to work for various brands, personas, and budgets. Partner with channel marketing teams to reach and attract the target audience. Coordinate follow-up with attendees and nurture leads to maximize value from events.
  • Coordinate the development of compelling and engaging content and materials for tradeshows that align with event objectives and adheres to brand guidelines. This may involve booth assets, signage, and swag to effectively communicate brand value proposition and /or align with the overarching objectives of the event.
  • Develop, track, and analyze key metrics and performance indicators of tradeshows, such as attendance rates, engagement levels, lead conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI). Lead debrief meetings and document findings and feedback to inform future marketing strategies and improve results.
  • Manage budgets for tradeshows and related events, ensuring expenses are within the allocated budget and seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or impact.
  • Remain up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to improve cost savings, engagement, and attendee satisfaction. 
  • Provide on-site support for events, including tradeshow booth setup and teardown, and assistance with hosted events like customer receptions, socials, etc. Leverage time at tradeshows to learn and document what other companies are doing well.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in marketing, event management, or project management (advantageous)
  • 1+ years experience in event management, experiential marketing, or related fields
  • Knowledge of tradeshow and hosted events best practices, including lead generation and conversion strategies
  • Strong project management, prioritization, muti-tasking skills
  • Ability to think creatively and generate new ideas to drive engagement and activation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and be resourceful when problems arise
  • Experience with budget management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
