WHAT YOU'LL DO 

 

As a Director HR with a business partner focus, you will play a strategic role in aligning business objectives with employees and management across Ascend Learning. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing HR strategies that foster organizational and people development, ensuring we continue to drive innovation and excellence. Your leadership will be pivotal in nurturing our culture and guiding our talent to new heights of success. 

 

WHERE YOU’LL WORK 

 

This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Burlington, MA office location preferred. Remote will be considered within the United States. 

 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME 

 

  • Developing and executing HR strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the commercial organization 

  • Providing guidance and leadership to commercial teams, fostering an environment of growth and development for sales and marketing team members 

  • Partnering with and coaching leadership to enable workforce success and talent development 

  • Leading organizational change initiatives and managing HR-related communications 

  • Overseeing employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards 

  • Utilizing data analytics to drive decision-making and measure effectiveness 

  • Championing and collaborating across departments to integrate HR strategic initiatives throughout the business 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other areas combined with relevant work experience is preferred. High school diploma or GED required 

  • 10+ years of HR experience 

  • Prior commercial business partnership highly preferred 

  • Proven experience as a strategic HR leader with a track record of driving organizational productivity and success 

  • Demonstrated experience of HR functions, including talent development, succession management, organization development and employee relations 

  • Exceptional consulting and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build trust at all levels of the organization 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability to change 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a large, fast paced, matrixed organization 

  • Ability to leverage data to gain insights and inform actions 

  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
